Kivyogo village in Tiwi Ward, Matuga Sub-County, has been left in mourning after a deeply tragic turn of events shattered what was meant to be a joyous occasion.

Rukia Mohamed Mwalomba, a 25-year-old woman, had been eagerly preparing to marry the love of her life on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

However, fate dealt her a cruel blow when her fiancé, Ali Pesa, fell seriously ill just days before their wedding.

Despite being rushed to multiple hospitals, including Kwale Sub-County Hospital, he tragically lost his battle with the illness on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Ali, a young man in his twenties, was not only a devoted partner but also a loving father.

He leaves behind a two-year-old child, now too young to understand the gravity of the loss.

For Rukia, the pain is unimaginable. In the blink of an eye, she went from anticipating a life of love and happiness with her soulmate to mourning the man she had dreamed of spending forever with.

The weight of grief has left her in a state of deep shock and disbelief, struggling to come to terms with a future she never prepared for, a future without him.

As the village mourns alongside her, words feel inadequate to ease her sorrow.

Some of the deceased close friends, termed his demise as an unbearable loss.
