The majority of 2022 candidates who sat for their KCPE exam and got over 400 marks in Kwale have been placed in the school of their choice.
However, Masimbani primary school, where 25 pupils scored 400 and above marks have all been placed in schools they had chosen save for Marcela Tsimba.
Marcela scored 408 marks and had selected Kenya High only to be placed at Gatimu Ngandu Girls.
Headteacher John Kanga said that parents and students are satisfied with the form one placement process.
“In our school save for only one candidate, the rest were placed in the school of their choice,” he said.
Out of 59 candidates, 25 scored over 400 marks, while the rest scored below 400 marks.
At Mekaela Likunda School,the top girl in Kwale Dorcas Mutethya Ndunga who scored 427 marks was placed at Mpi Forces Academy Lanet which she had selected while Louis Munene Ngila, who scored 400 marks was placed at Alliance High School, which he had selected.
At Bethany, AcademyJason Wandera was placed in Kapsabet High School, Derrick Wamwandu in Alliance High School, Titus Lwambi and Joseph Chaka both placed in Nairobi school which they had selected
