    Muslim faithful’s urged as they celebrate Eid across the world

    Muslim across the world have been urged to maintain peace and love according to religious teaching as well as respect their leaders as they mark the end of 30 days of Ramadhan fasting.

    Speaking at Baraza Park where he joined the Muslim faithful, cabinet secretary for mining and blue economy Salim Mvurya said that there is a need for the Muslim faithful to respect directives by their leaders like chief Kadhi.

    He was saying that with the division amongst the Muslim faithful with some going against the announced dates by chief Kadhi for ending their annual fast while others respecting it.

    “We have our leaders in the country who we are supposed to respect and follow their directives to put our unity together as a family,” he urged.

    Mvurya also called on the Muslim faithful to focus on helping the less fortunate locals in the society during their celebrations.

    “I want to appreciate all for maintaining peace during the Ramadhan period and urge my fellow Muslims who can give those who have nothing to celebrate and God will bless them,” he said.

    He said that peace and unity are important in the country for the sake of its development of the country.

    Tahweed Islamic Center teacher Sheikh Sharif Abdallah called on all Kenyans to maintain peace after the holy month of Ramadhan fasting.

    “As a Muslim family it is good we respect our leaders including Chief Kadhi for the sake of our unity,’ he added.

    In Msambweni Muslim faithful gathered at the historical Kongo mosque beach for prayers while Kinango Lunga Lunganga gathered in different areas.

    The message of peace and unity prevailed during all thgatheringsng across the country with citizens being urged to love each other and especially by ensuring less fortunate families are supported.
