Grassroots Voices Program Manager, Fakii Omar, revealed that Kwale is one of the counties earmarked for the controversial project. According to Omar, the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA) identified both Kilifi and Kwale in its Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment Report (SESA) as potential sites for the plant. The initiative, which includes the construction of six special unit schools, is providing a much-needed second chance for children with cerebral palsy in the area.
