Diani Beach, located on the stunning 17km stretch of Coastline in Kwale County, Kenya, has once again been recognized as an integral part of the country’s tourism industry.

This year, it won the prestigious World Travel Awards for the eighth time, solidifying its reputation as one of the top beach destinations in the world.

Diani Beach, known for its pristine white sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and breathtaking sunsets, beat out tough competition from other popular beach destinations in Africa.

The award not only highlights the natural beauty of Diani Beach but also recognizes the efforts made by the local government and community, tourism authorities, and the hospitality industry in maintaining and promoting this remarkable destination.

What sets Diani Beach apart from other destinations in Kenya is its unique offering of both bush and land safaris, as well as Marine adventures, all within one county – Kwale.

This makes it the only destination in Kenya where visitors can experience the best of both worlds in terms of wildlife and Marine attractions.

One of the highlights of Diani Beach is the Shimba Hills National Reserve, which is a famous home of sable antelope and over 50 bird species.

This reserve offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Kwale and witness the diverse wildlife that the county has to offer.

In addition to the Shimba Hills National Reserve, Diani Beach is also known for its proximity to Borabora World Park and Kisite Mpungute Marine Park.

These Marine parks are havens for marine life and offer visitors a chance to explore the vibrant coral reefs, swim with dolphins, and indulge in various water sports.

The success of Diani Beach can be attributed to the efforts of the county government led by Governor Fatuma Achani and her deputy Josphat Chirema Kombo in investing in the infrastructure of the area.

County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Tourism, Michael Mutua, says Diani Township has undergone significant development in recent years, making it an even more attractive destination for both local and international tourists.

The recognition of Diani Beach as a world-class destination by the World Travel Awards for the eighth time is a testament to the beauty and allure of this coastal gem.

With its unique blend of bush, land safari, and marine attractions, Diani Beach promises an unforgettable experience for those who visit.
