Hundreds of residents in Ganda Malindi sub county are set to benefit from a mobile medical clinic service launched by local leaders.
The mobile ambulance clinic which is equipped with medical equipment, laboratory and medics will help residents who have been struggling to access medical services from the malindi sub county hospital.
Riziki Baya, a local from the area, said that many dispensaries were congested and it was tedious to make long queues in search of medical services.
She said that the mobile clinic which offers emergency medical services such as screening of different diseases, and instant treatment at the village will ease the burden for them.
She stated that the mobile clinic services are offered free of charge as many medical tests and treatment required a lot of cash that many residents could not afford.
Area member of county Assembly Oscar Wanje said the initiative of providing medical services close to the residents will help as there has been a shortage of ambulances, medical services in the county.
He said that he initiated this program that would help area residents get medical and emergency services at no costs .
