The national government has been lauded for supporting investors intending to put up businesses in the country with Special Economic Processing Zones attracting more investors in the region.
Already over 200 companies from India are said to be operating in the country with more expected to take advantage of the investment climate that has been put in place by president William Ruto administration to invest more.
This was said by Indian ambassador to Kenya Dr.Adarsh Swaika who toured Taifa Gas project in Kwale and Mombasa and later Revital healthcare company, one of the largest Africa medical disposal production company establishments located at Kikampala in Kilifi.
He said that India will continue partnering with Kenya in ensuring investment opportunities aimed at creating employment for citizens are realized across the country.
While in Kikampala the ambassador said that the Revital company has about 80 to 90 machinery imported from India, a true testament of true partnership between the two countries on matters of investment.
“We have seen state or the art machinery in this facility majority are made in India and employment opportunities given to Kenyans. This is very good for the two countries. Medical devices produced here by state of art machinery that are less of human interference and top quality medical devices being made for export,” he said.
Revital operating from Kilifi at a five acres facility has acquired a 20 acres land at the Dongo-Kundu special economic zone to expand their business expecting to export more medical products to east Africa countries and overseas according to Special Economic Zones Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr.Kenneth Chelule.
He said that the Revital healthcare company expanding its project to Dongo-Kundu SEZ will allow them to serve their clients across the world easily as they create more job opportunities for Kenyans.
Chelule added that other companies interested in investing should take advantage since there is still enough space for investors.
Revital healthcare director Roneek Vora said that they are currently producing over 45 medical devices with a two millions capacity and exporting to 45 countries across the world.
“We are happy to announce that we have supplied medical devices to over 7 governments in East and Central Africa,” he said.
