Kwale county government economic advisor Anthony Yama has castigated opposition members in the area saying they will be in for a rude shock in 2027.

Yama said that with recent political alignment in the country those who have been opposing governor Fatuma Achani should go to the drawing board.

He said it will be anuphill task to defeat Achani in 2027 with all oposition leaders supporting the president William Rutos government.

Speaking at DZoyagenu village in Kinango during the official opening National Draught Management Authority community water project by Governor Fatuma Achani, Yama castigated ODM members in Kwale saying they must support the current leadership.

“If Joho who was supporting them is now on our side what do you think will happen. Nobody will defeat Achani and president William Ruto in 2027,” he said.

Deputy governor Chirema Kombo said that Kwale residents stand to benefit more with cabinet secretary nominee for trade investment and industry Salim Mvurya being in cabinet.

He urged Kwale locals to remain united saying it is the only way to ensure benefits from the national government are realised.

“We appreciate president William Ruto for nominating Salik Mvurya to the trade docket which is a crucial one for the country’s development,” said Chirema.
