The famous SS Assad club and only Kwale football club that has represented the region in the national super league which is a step away from the Kenya premier league will be playing its first national super league match for this season at Shamu ground in Diani-Kwale.

Being their fourth match this season in 2023, SS Assad club will be facing it off with Darajani Gogo united from 3:00 pm on Friday 6 January 2023 according to football Kenya federation fixture that Coast Times digital is in possession of.

During the same time Mwatate united FC will be facing it off with Kibera Black stars c at Wundanyi stadium in Taita.

The SS Assad team that is under the leadership of Coach Ali Marumu famously known as Mwachaunga has already played 3 matches and won one at home and lost the two away matches.

According to the club’s communication officer Kassim Mwasalaba, they are optimistic of winning Friday’s match since they have never lost at home during their previous matches.

“We have a good home record, it is not easy for us to lose a home match. We made new signings and we hope that they will yield fruits for our club,” he told Coast Times Digital.

He said that after the Friday match, SS Assad will be traveling for the next assignment to play with MCF at Thika on Wednesday next week.

“We are appealing to Kwale people to come in large numbers and witness their only club playing at home and support by paying only Sh50 as entry fee at the Shamu ground,” he said.
