Several commuters were injured on Saturday night during a stampede at the ferry crossing Channel.
The incident occurred when thousands of commuters forcifuly entered the ferry.
Reports indicate that one of the largest ferries broke down, causing delays at the busy channel on Saturday night.
“Due to the delay created by the ferry breakdown on Mv. Jambo, pedestrians overwhelmed security guards and jammed the ramp up to the waterline while Mv. Likoni was landing. The commotion led to two pedestrians being hurt and immediately rushed to the hospital,”read a communication from Kenya ferry service.
