    Kilifi county government sends its healthcare workers to Thumbay University Hospital, United Arab Emirate for trainings

    Kilifi county government has sent a team of healthcare workers consisting of doctors, nurses and administrators for a specialized medical training course.

    The healthcare workers left for Thumbay University Hospital, United Arab Emirates according to Kilifi governor Gideon Mung’aro.

    The training, he said, is part of the memorandum of understanding signed with the university to open up opportunities for our healthcare workers for training, technology and knowledge transfer.

    “The team will undergo a specialized training in the fields of hospital management, emergency and critical care management as well as oncology,” he said.

    This unique custom-made course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience.

    The course aims to equip Kilifi county team with the latest techniques, tools, and best practices for effective service delivery for our patients.

    Also in the basket of knowledge during the training include ICU, customer care services,infection prevention, accidents emergency and cancer with the first batch of professionals expected to be pioneers to the county hospitals.

    Governor said that the exchange program will continue until all hospitals in the area have enough professionals to drive the health agenda and help locals in the area.
