    Governor Achani chairs Cabinet Meeting At Maji Moto Springs Dzombo Ward-LungaLunga

    Kwale County Governor Fatuma Achani and her Deputy Chirema Kombo with Cabinet Members travelled by Bus to Kitungure Village at Maji Moto hot water Springs in Dzombo Ward , LungaLunga Subcounty for a full cabinet Meeting.

    This is seen as part of her administration efforts to cut down government excesses and redirect funds to development.

    Achani also inspected the ongoing Maji Moto Eco-Resort project at Kitungure village.

    The project entails a restaurant, walk ways along the hot water springs, VIP modern toilets, and underground water tanks.

    Maji Moto springs for years have played a significant role in the Mijikenda Culture.

    This is where Kaya elders perform their rituals and the hot water springs serve as a tourists attraction to many within the Country and outside.

    Governor Fatuma Achani said that her administration intends to turn around Kitungure village into a eco-resort town upon the completion of the project.

    The project , she said that it will give Maji moto springs a facelift and a boost for the tourism sector in the County.

    In line with President William Ruto call to increase trees cover in the country and adress global warming, Achani led members of the County Executive Committee to a tree planting exercise at Maji moto springs.

    She wad accompanied by the County Secretary Sylvia Chidodo,director communications Nicky Gitonga, Chief of staff Joshua Mdoe, County Attorney Salim Gombeni,Cecs ,Chief officers, Directors and other senior Government Officials.
