In an exciting football match held at the Kwale Stadium, Bandari Youth FC emerged victorious after an intimidating win of 2-0 goals against Kwale United FC.

The match was officiated by Kwale Governor Fatuma Achani, who was accompanied by her deputy governor, Josphat Chirema Kombo among other officials.

The governor, known for her commitment to the development of sports in the county, has been at the forefront of ensuring that sports grow and thrive in Kwale.

As part of this commitment, she has invested in the construction of the Kwale Stadium through the Department of Social Services and Talent management.

Other stadiums that she has commissioned for transformation includes Nyumba Sita and Mvindeni that are set to have facilities for facelift.

Currently, the Kwale stadium is still under construction but is set to hold up to 9,000 football fans once completed according to Culture, Talent and sports county executive member Francisca Kilonzo.

Last week, the governor presided over the building of four terraces, further enhancing the stadium’s infrastructure that is set to host international matches once it is complete.

The match between Bandari Youth FC and Kwale United FC was a testament to the governor’s dedication in uplifting the sports scene in the county.

It provided an opportunity for the local teams to showcase their skills and entertain the football fans in attendance.

With the governor’s continued support, it is expected that sports in Kwale will continue to flourish, nurturing young talent and providing a platform for the community to come together in support of their local teams.
