Reports that Kwale residents have not been utilizing National Government Affirmative Action Funds for the last ten years are shocking. A four year’s old minor escaped death narrowly after a water tank tower at Gazi dispensary in Msambweni collapsed on him. The minor was rescued by locals in collaboration with security officers and Base Titanium rescuers. Those who witnessed the incident blamed the shoddy job of the tank construction by the constructor saying it was the only reason it collapsed threatening a life of innocent children and the community around. Kilifi County Taskforce on Human Resource has finally presented its report before the Kilifi county executive officials led by Governor Gideon Mung’aro and his deputy Flora Chibule during their second-day retreat in Diani. The task force in its report found a huge discrepancy in human resource management, structure, distribution, employment and salaries citing that about 100 workers are unaccounted for.
