Tandaza’s Model Education Centre is set to become a beacon of excellence in the community, attracting students from a myriad of backgrounds in Kwale County.
The state-of-the-art facility whose first phase construction was inaugurated on Sunday by Governor Fatuma Achani alongside area MP Kasim Tandaza at Tsimba Golini in Matuga sub-county aims to enhance both academic and extracurricular development, ensuring students receive comprehensive training that aligns with current educational standards.
The educational facility will include advanced classrooms equipped with the latest technology and a range of extracurricular facilities, such as a performing arts auditorium, a sports complex, and creative spaces for art and music.
The vision for the education center extends beyond just providing top-notch resources.
Tandaza’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment means that students will have access to personalized support, mentorship programs, and community outreach initiatives.
The goal is to nurture well-rounded individuals who excel academically and thrive in their personal interests.
With a focus on innovation, inclusivity, and holistic development, Tandaza’s education center promises to make a significant impact on the educational landscape, setting a new standard for excellence and opportunity.
While laying the foundation stone for the facility, Achani emphasized that the highly anticipated talent educational center will nurture the abilities of Kwale’s youth in alignment with the Kenyan Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC) education model.
She said that the Tandaza Model Education Centre is designed to promote both academic and extracurricular growth, providing students with well-rounded training that meets contemporary educational standards.
Achani said the center is intended to provide a dedicated space for skill development and to offer an inclusive educational environment that accommodates diverse abilities and interests.
She noted that the learning institution will greatly benefit the local community by expanding educational opportunities and supporting youth with diverse talents.
“This institution will serve as a cornerstone for nurturing the talents of our youth in Kwale,” she stated.
Achani stated that the Tandaza Model Education Centre represents a significant milestone for Kwale County, advancing education and youth development in the region.
She expressed hope that the new center will help to develop local talent, reduce youth unemployment, and contribute to Kwale’s overall socioeconomic growth goals.
The facility is expected to be completed within the next year and aims to set a benchmark for future educational projects in Kenya.
Achani highlighted that the center signifies progress in delivering quality education and empowering youth.
”The initiative reflects a strong commitment to advancing local education and empowering young people in Kwale, with the facility set to become a pivotal resource for the community,” she said.
The governor urged Kwale residents to be patient with ongoing development projects and support the government in ensuring their successful completion.
She also urged active participation in county public forums where community projects are discussed and refined, emphasizing the importance of such engagement in promoting progress and addressing local needs.
“Let us ignore negative criticism and focus on Kwale’s development rather than getting caught up in political debates,” Achani said.
Tandaza said that the education center will accommodate students from diverse backgrounds, offering state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance both academic learning and extracurricular skills.
He said the Tandaza Model Education Center is poised to be a transformative project for Kwale, aligning with the national vision of empowering youth through a talent-focused learning approach.
Tandaza said the school will concentrate on students who may face academic challenges but possess notable talents, aiming to cultivate these abilities and support their overall success.
According to Tandaza, the initiative will reduce the financial burden on both parents and the government by reducing the reliance on bursaries and fees for students who, despite academic difficulties, possess exceptional talents.
“Forcing a student to complete their education just to get a low grade is counterproductive. “If a student has talents that can be developed, they can achieve success just as effectively as someone who receives high grades,” he said.
