President William Ruto has named 11 Cabinet members nominees following the dismissal of the previous Cabinet, with the exception of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

This announcement was made during the state of the nation address held at State House Nairobi, on Friday.

The announcement comes amid mounting pressure on the President to appoint competent individuals capable of advancing his administration’s agenda.

The new Cabinet nominees include Ministry of Interior Kithure Kindiki,vMinistry of Health: Dr. Debra Mulongo Barasa, Ministry of Lands: Alice Wahome, Ministry of Defence: Aden Duale, Ministry of Transport:Davis Chirchir and Attorney General: Rebecca Miano.

Others include the Ministry of Environment: Soipan Tuya, Ministry of Education: Julius Migosi, Ministry of Water: Eric Muriithi, Ministry of ICT: Dr. Margaret Ndungu and Ministry of Agriculture: Andrew Mwihia Karanja.

President Ruto’s move to overhaul the Cabinet signifies a critical step towards implementing his vision and policies.

The announcement is seen as a strategic effort to rejuvenate the administration and ensure that the key sectors are led by individuals who can deliver results.

The President’s selection of these nominees underscores his commitment to assembling a team that can effectively address the various challenges facing the country.

The nominees, each bringing their unique expertise and experience, are expected to work collaboratively to fulfill the administration’s promises and improve the lives of Kenyans.

The announcement has been met with a mix of optimism and scrutiny.

Supporters of the President have lauded the move as a bold step towards progress, while critics urge that those who were in the previous cabinet should not be considered.

As the nominees await parliamentary approval, the nation watches closely, hopeful that this new team will deliver on its mandate and steer Kenya towards a brighter future.
