Kilifi County Chief Officer Fisheries and Blue Economy, Rahab Karisa stabbed to death at her home.

Sources told Coast Times Digital that the officer was killed after an argument with her housemaid over payment issues at her home.

Reports indicate she was allegedly stabbed to death by her house help in Mnarani, Kilifi County on Thursday morning.

This was after returning to the country on Wednesday from a trip to Italy.

Sources also told Coast Times Digital the house help escaped before officers from a private firm arrived for their morning duties.

Investigation into the incident is going on according to area police.

Police will now be investigating the incident.

The alleged maid is still at large as police say investigations will be done to establish what exactly happened.

Questions are being raised as to who wanted the chief dead and why a day just after arriving from Italy for official work.
