    Devki Group of companies distribute relief food to Kilifi and Kwale locals

    Pupils in drought hit areas of Kwale and Kilifi are breathing a sigh of relief following introduction of feeding program in the areas by the Devki Group of companies.

    According to the group chairman Dr Narendra Rawal, the group also donated food items to vulnerable families in those areas.
    Adversity affected areas of the drought include Kinango, sub county in Kwale and Rabai sub county in Kilifi.
    Mr Peter Paul who was supervising food donation exercise at Kanagoni primary school in Kwale, said the company has plans to embark on free fresh water delivery service to communities in affected areas.
    The company’s head of administration Mr Peter Paul, said his organization has so far donated food items worth over sh. 6.5 million estimated to last them 60-65 days.
    He said there has been an encouraging increase in school attendance in the affected areas since the project began and gave assurance that it will continue until the situation reverts back to normal.
    Over twenty primary schools and some children orphanages receive regular food donations in the affected areas.
