Sabaki Residents in Kilifi county held a peaceful demonstration protesting against a private developer who claims ownership of a 25 acre of land that the residents have been living in for more than 30 years.
Speaking to journalists after the demonstration led by Rose Baraka, the residents said that they have been threatened on several occasions to vacate their ancestral land.
The residents have vowed to stay at the disputed land and pleaded to area leaders to intervene and solve the matter.
They also asked president William Ruto who recently visited the Coast region to find a lasting solution to land disputes in the area.
